Plan your perfect photo session

You want photos that will last a lifetime.

Pictures that you can look back on 25 years from now and marvel at with your loved ones.

But there can be so much pressure to get the perfect poses, find the most timeless outfits, and manage unpredictable kids (and adults) that it can feel unlikely that anything of value will ever end up hanging on the wall in your house.

Getting the photos of your dreams should not be so hard.

It doesn’t have to be! I have worked with groups large and small for over five years and know how to make your photographic dreams a reality. Whether you have it all planned out in your head or you need my help in coordinating poses, locations, and outfits, I’ve got your back.

The process is easy with Sarah Roney Photo, so you can actually smile when the big day arrives.

How it works

1

Book a Session

Schedule a time for your photography session and make your payment. If weather might be an issue, we will work together to find an alternate time or place as needed.
2

Plan

Decide what location(s) you would like, what poses are must-haves, and what outfit(s) you are going to wear. If you are struggling to decide for any of these, give me a call or see my top 8 tips below.
3

Get your Photos

After the shoot, it can take up to 2 weeks to receive your final edited files or prints. Don’t worry though, I’ll be sure to send you some “sneak peaks” 1-2 days after the shoot.

Working with Sarah was a fun and comfortable experience. Having Sarah take our photos felt so natural! I thought posing would be uncomfortable or forced, but Sarah kept my husband and I laughing the whole time. The time with Sarah flew by and we got so many wonderful photos. The pictures turned out great and the memories we made taking them will last forever!

FAQs

What should I wear?

Great question! Take a look at my free download for my 8 Must-do’s when selecting your outfit. Short answer: dress comfortably, in something that makes you feel like you. Don’t wear white in the snow.

What if my child is fussy or wild?

We’ll work together to figure out what your child needs to look his/her best even in the midst of a tantrum. I have two little ones of my own, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Sometimes relaxing and knowing there is no pressure from my end is the best thing. We can capture some great candid photos that won’t make your child so skirmish or frustrated. If the session really isn’t working for everyone involved, we can find another time to re-shoot.

Can I do an outfit change?

Of course! Bring your outfits and be ready to go. The time is takes to change outfits is part of your shoot, so make sure you don’t spend too much time of the shoot time getting ready.

How soon will I get my photos back?

You’ll get a sneak peak of some of my favorite shots within a couple of days, and the entire edited portfolio within 14 days – that’s my guarantee.

What’s your policy on purchasing photos / reprinting?

Unlike many photographers, I won’t hold your photos hostage. You will have access to all of your photos in an online gallery that will allow you to download and print. I can also provide a written form to you if needed for reprints through a printer.

What if the weather is bad on our scheduled day?

We’ll reschedule or work together to find alternate location options that will work. Whichever you prefer.
